PCD/PCBN Cutting and Wear-Resistant Tools
EISEN PCD/PCBN Cutting and Wear-resistant tools
PCD/PCBN, or Polycrystalline Diamond/Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride, is a material formed by sintering diamond (or CBN) particles with metal or ceramic binders at temperatures exceeding 1200°C and pressures ranging from 40,000 to 60,000 atmospheres. This process results in a composite material integrally bonded to a hard substrate. PCD/PCBN cutting tools are manufactured by brazing these materials onto a base material and then grinding the cutting edges. These tools offer 10 to 50 times longer tool life compared to equivalent carbide tools and enable precision cutting operations at a quasi-mirror finish. At EISEN, we provide various types of PCD/PCBN tailored to meet your specific machining requirements. Feel free to consult with us for assistance in selecting the most suitable tool material based on your machining needs.
